Supplies:
3 La Mode® Textures Buttons #1068 Green Leaves
14 round, large hole green ceramic beads, 12 mm
15 oval, large hole green ceramic beads, 8 mm
4 feet thin hemp cord
Scissors
Instructions:
Cut two cords 24” long.
String end of one cord up through right buttonhole of Textures button. String through one oval bead, positioning it in the center of button. Center button on cord. Bring both ends of cord to the left side of the button. Tie a knot close to button.
Repeat with other cord, stringing up through left buttonhole, through oval bead, knotting both ends of cord at right side of button.
String round bead over both left side cords. Knot. Repeat step 2 with another button. Knot. Alternately string round and oval beads over both cords, knotting in between.
Repeat on right side of necklace.
When all beads have been strung, knot all four cords together. Slip necklace over head.
Tip:
Refer to photo for placement of buttons and beads.
For a less earthy, more classic look, use leather cord instead of hemp.
Necklace will be approximately 24 inches long. If made shorter, a clasp will have to be added.
