Supplies:
  • Fabric Sensations Buttons: #3614 (2 cards)

  • Assorted colors seed beads
  • 4 - 3” head pins
  • 4 - 7mm jump rings
  • Needle and thread
  • Drill and smallest drill bit
  • Flush cutters
  • Round nose pliers
  • 2 pair chain nose pliers

Instructions:
  1. At bottom of largest button, drill four holes.
  2. Make four bead dangles. String seed beads randomly on head pin. Form simple loops at tops. Open a jump ring. Add a bead dangle. Before twisting jump ring closed, insert into hole in button. Twist jump ring closed. Repeat for other three bead dangles.
  3. Stack a fabric button on top. with needle and thread, stitch stacked buttons in place on T-shirt. Bring needle up through buttonhole. Pick up a seed bead. Stitch back down through the other buttonhole.
  4. Stack a fabric button on a small distressed button. With needle and thread, stitch stacked buttons to T-shirt. Bring needle up through buttonhole. Add three seed beads. Stitch back down through the other buttonhole. Repeat for another button stack.
Tips:
  • Refer to photo for placement.
  • To form a simple loop: Bend headpin at a 90-degree angle just above top bead. Trim pin to ½”. Grab end of wire, roll back toward beads forming a loop.
  • Using a jump ring: grab ends of jump ring at either side of cut with pliers. Twist ring open. String through desired element. Twist tightly closed.
  • Stitch buttons on T-shirt as dictated by style of T-shirt.
  • When drilling holes in the button, be sure not to drill them in farther than the diameter of your jump rings.
