Make a stack of buttons using a variety of colors and sizes, graduating from larger to smaller. Bend floral wire in half. String both wires through buttonholes of button stack from top to bottom. Tightly twist wires together under buttons. Continue twisting for a couple inches. Wrap entire length of stem in floral wire. Repeat to make 30-35 flowers.
Attach leaves to floral wire. Bend wire in half. Hold at leaf stem. Wrap stem to wire with floral tape. Wrap entire length of wire.
Arrange flower and leaf stems into bouquet in a pleasing arrangement.
Cut a small hole in the centers of tulle circles, just large enough to slip over all stems. Slide tulle circles up to top of stems, just under flowers and leaves.
Secure bouquet stems with lavender ribbon. At center of ribbon, tie an overhand knot around top of stems, just under tulle. Wrap ends of ribbon snugly around all stems, one end going right and one end going left. Tie another overhand knot. Repeat wrapping and tying to bottom, lining knots up. Tie bow. Trim ribbon ends.
Tie big loopy bow with thin ribbons at top of handle.
