How to Sew a Button

How to Sew a BUTTON
Cut about 12" of thread.
Knot at one end and thread your needle. Make a single stitch in the garment about 1/8" inch long, and then make another stitch perpendicular to the first where you need the button to be sewn.
Hold the button about 1/8" away from the fabric and thread the needle up through one hole in the button and down through the diagonally opposite hole.
Do the same with the other diagonal holes. Repeat 4 or 5 times.
Wrap the thread tightly around the vertical threads between the button and the cloth to create a tight pillar.
Push the needle through this pillar a few times, pull tightly and cut the thread close.
