It's been so long since my last post but I was shopping with my teenage daughter the other day and wanted to share all of the buttons I saw. We were in a great juniors store and I was so inspired to see all of these great coats with lots of buttons.  Hope you love them as much as I do!!!

Big Buttons button sizes continue to be hot.  Blumenthal Lansing offers big buttons ranging in sizes all the way up to 2 inches… now that’s a big button. 
Big buttons can be used as either functional buttons or as just decorative.  If your garment does not have a big enough buttonhole just sew the button as a decoration the front of the garment (use a snap to close the garment if necessary).

Button Embellishment (Embellish a top with buttons)
Embellishment is hot! Details appear on everything. Buttons and Gems encrust read-to-wear and accessories for a "handmade" effect. Make it yourself and create a one of a kind fashion.

Buy or re-fashion a t-shirt with ruffles around the neckline. Think about the color of the top and what you'd like to show. Some ideas are: tone on tone, contrasting color or metallic. Purchase a selection of buttons you like in several sizes, you should have a combination of sew-thru and shank buttons. You can select from a combination of carded buttons and/or Favorite Findings to work with.

It's so easy, just place a few buttons on the shirt and decide what looks good. Take them off and start with one button. Sew it on and then another, keep going until you have embellished as much as you like. Shank buttons can overlap sew-thru buttons to give dimension.
